PARIS AND... // (NON) VALENTINE'S DAY

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and all the stores are full of lovely gifts and furry hearts. It looks like the whole world is desperately looking for a nice present for his or her lover. Personally I think Valentine’s Day is a bit hypocritical ‘cause, I don’t need a special day when I ‘’must’’ show my love to my lover.
But in a way I could understand that people take this day as their chance to show their love. So, why not in Paris? It is the perfect setting for some romance…
‘’THE GENESIS OF BUTTERFLIES’’ BY VICTOR HUGO
‘’The dawn is smiling on the dew that covers
The tearful roses; lo, the little lovers
That kiss the buds, and all the flutterings
In jasmine bloom, and privet, of white wings,
That go and come, and fly, and peep and hide,’’
Victor Hugo was one of the most influent French romantic writers of the 19th century, this is a piece of his poem ‘’The genesis of butterflies’’. He also lived in Paris at Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris. Also a very romantic place to go to with your lover!
Below some romantic Paris' style-things for a ( non ) Valentine’s Day…

Have a nice weekend!

Big Kisses,
